Data Processing

Most FreeOnlineTools Go tools process data entirely in your browser. Your files, text, and data never leave your device. We do not upload, store, or transmit your data to any server.

Network tools

No tool on this site uploads your files or inputs to us. The site is fully static: our own infrastructure has no API, no edge function and no server-side processing. A small number of tools need outbound network access, and those requests go directly from your browser to the third-party public API you choose — for example DNS Lookup queries Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS (cloudflare-dns.com) and the API Request Tester fetches the URL you enter. Those requests never pass through our servers, and we do not store your queries or the results. Tools that would require server-side work (for example PDF/Office conversion) are marked "coming soon" and do not send anything anywhere.

The Network facts page only reads values from your own browser (user agent, languages, time zone, screen size) and makes no network request.

Analytics and third-party requests

We use non-intrusive analytics to understand tool usage and improve the platform. We do not record your file contents, sensitive text, PDF data, image data, Base64 data, passwords, tokens, or keys.

Before you choose: the site loads no analytics scripts and sets no analytics cookies. Two third-party requests may still occur for delivery reasons and are disclosed here honestly: (1) fonts are served by Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) when a page renders; (2) Cloudflare may inject its Web Analytics beacon for hosting statistics. Both are operated by third parties and may receive your IP address and the page URL.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

• We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand tool usage patterns.
• Measurement ID: G-0VVD9GSKB3
• Data retained for 14 months, then automatically deleted.
• You can opt out by rejecting analytics cookies in the consent banner.
• GA4 does not collect tool input/output data — only page views and anonymous usage events.

Analytics loading is gated by your consent choice. No GA4 scripts run until you click "Accept" in the consent banner. Your choice is stored in browser localStorage (key ft-consent); rejecting or clearing storage disables all analytics.

Advertising

We display ads through Monetag (nap5k.com, zone 12137265) on tool, guide, reference and category pages only. The home page, about, privacy policy, search and 404 pages load no ad script at all. Where ads are shown, the script is third-party code loaded from nap5k.com; its delivery and measurement endpoints are my.rtmark.net and jhnwr.com. It may use cookies, device identifiers and approximate location to select and measure ads.

• We do not control which ads appear and do not receive your tool inputs or files from the ad network.
• Your file contents, text and tool inputs are never sent to the ad network.
• You can limit ad personalization in your browser settings or via Monetag's privacy options.
• Blocking the ad script does not affect any tool functionality.

Cookies and local storage

Our own pages set no tracking cookies. If — and only if — you accept analytics in the consent banner, Google Analytics 4 sets its own first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_<container-id>) to distinguish sessions; rejecting the banner prevents them entirely.

Our advertising partner Monetag may set cookies or use device identifiers to deliver and measure ads (see Advertising above). We also use browser localStorage for your consent choice (ft-consent), your theme (ft-theme) and your own in-browser preferences; this stays on your device and is never transmitted.
